|Enter The Document Retrieval System|
The Document Retrieval System allows individuals to view imaged documents on cases filed in Shawnee County that are available to the public. You will need a case number to retrieve documents. If you have a question about a case, you will need to either contact your attorney or the office of the Clerk of the District Court of Shawnee County. The Webmaster will not reply to any questions dealing with a specific case.
1. Click on "Retrieve"
2. Enter a case number in the box in the upper left-hand frame of your browser window and click "Submit". If the case number is valid and there are images for that case, a list of either document types or dates (depending on your selections from step 1 above) will be displayed in the lower left-hand corner of your browser window. You may need to use the vertical scroll bar in the lower left-hand frame to see all the results. If the case is not in the Imaging system or there are no imaged documents for that case, an informational message will be displayed in the lower left-hand frame.
3.Click on the appropriate document type or date to view a list of documents for that type or date. (You may need to use the vertical scroll bar in the lower left-hand frame to view the list of the items returned.)
4. Click on the appropriate document in the lower left-hand frame. The first page of the document you selected will be displayed in the lower right-hand frame of your browser. For multiple page documents, use either the navigation frame or TMS navigation icons (depending on your selections from step 1 above) to move through the various pages.
5. (Optional) To view the documents for another case, repeat steps 2 through 4.
